New collection record set during the Elkhorn Media Group/Goss Motors Food Drive

LA GRANDE — The generosity of the community made the annual Elkhorn Media Group/Goss Motors Food Drive the largest collection to date. The total for the 2023 collection was 9,445 lbs of food/non-perishable items and $3439. All these items and money stay local to help restock pantry shelves after the holiday season.
This year, more the ever, the need was great due to a decrease in other services in the community for those in need of food.
Items were delivered to the Union County Food Bank earlier this week and in total six palettes of items and 2 ½ large bins were donated.
Thank you to everyone who made donations large and small for making this the largest food drive of the year.
