New city Recorder will focus on improving city IT

BAKER CITY – The City of Baker City has a new City Recorder. Dallas Brockett joined city hall from the Baker City Police Department according to City Manager Jonathan Cannon. In a weekly update, Cannon noted that “Dallas will be focused on improving city IT and orchestrating digital management of city archives. It is a tremendous undertaking to upgrade city digital technologies as many of our digital operations are well over a decade old. In some cases, more than two decades old.”
Cannon said that the goal is to organize and digitally secure city records for all future generations They are also working to improve efficiency in digital operations.
