PENDLETON – The Pendleton School District Board of Directors meets at 8 a.m. Tuesday for a work session. Unlike most work sessions, there are action items on the agenda.

The board will vote on approving a contract with First Student, a bus service provider based in Ohio. At an earlier meeting, the board selected First Student over long-time provider Mid-Columbia Bus.

The second action item is to approve the personnel report for the month. Of note on that report is the resignation of Sunridge Middle School Principal Dave Williams who is taking an executive position with the InterMountain Education Service District.

Superintendent Chris Fritsch will show the board the revised calendar for the coming school year. The first day of school is Aug. 30, spring break is March 27-31, 2023, and the last day of school with a two-hour early release is June 8, 2023.

The meeting is held in the board room of district headquarters at 107 N.W. 10th St. It may be attended virtually. Those wanting log-in instructions should email Ronda Thornburg at rthornburg@pendletonsd.org.
