BAKER COUNTY – ODFW have confirmed a new area of known wolf activity in Baker County near Sumpter. Currently labeled OR137 (see map above), the area was designated after “A collared disperser became resident in the Sumpter Unit during the summer,” according to ODFW. For reference, a disperser wolf is described by the International Wolf Center as “A wolf that leaves the pack and strikes out on its own.” No additional changes have been reported for other areas of known wolf activity in Baker County.
