New alerting system installed at Walla Walla fire stations, dispatch

WALLA WALLA – The city of Walla Walla’s facilities team has installed a new alerting system at both fire stations and dispatch.

This system uses a softer alert process to be less startling and features unit selection dispatching. This unit-specific dispatching means personnel whose apparatus is not called won’t be unnecessarily woken at night.

The work is part of the Walla Walla Fire Department’s process to promote a healthier working environment for firefighters.
