PENDLETON – The new manager of the Eastern Oregon Regional Airport has set his starting priorities and is excited to take over the rudder of the Pendleton facility. He said his first priority is acquainting himself with all the people who play a role at the airport.

“I’m getting to know the team,” he said. “Not just the city team, but our tenants, our UAS customers, and any of the other stakeholders out here at the airport.”

Honemann said his second priority is learning his job with all the complexities it presents. He has the background to do so. Before moving here from Colorado, he spent almost 10 years working for the Federal Aviation Administration. He is also a pilot, has worked with UAS, and is a member of the Naval Air Reserves.

His third priority is to make what’s here even better.

“Let’s continue upgrading this facility, working on cleaning up the edges and making it honestly world class,” he said.
