Navy bombing range will see action

BOARDMAN – The Naval Air Station on Whidbey Island has announced a demolition event will take place at the Naval Weapons Training Facility, also known as the Navy Bombing Range in Boardman, tomorrow (Wednesday) during daylight hours.
The event is being conducted by the Explosives Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 11 Detachment Northwest. It will occur in the central section of the range. Dust clouds, smoke, audible detonations, and ground vibration may result.
The Navy reports that safety precautions and fire mitigations have been put in place to ensure the operations pose no threat to off-installation people or property.
