LAS VEGAS – The 2024 National Finals Rodeo is in the books. Oregon cowboys and some cowboys from other states with Eastern Oregon ties are showing up in the top 10 PRCA World Standings as a result of the 10-day competition.
Baker City’s Jesse Brown is sitting sixth in earnings. He pulled in $258,553. Dalton Massey of Hermiston was number one going into the NFR. He dropped to eighth place with $217,956,
Also sitting first for bull riding, T. J. Gray ended up in fourth place. He earned $350,381. Gray took a hard spill on his last ride, but managed to walk out of the arena.
There are two cowboys showing up in the world standings that rodeoed for Blue Mountain Community College before returning to their home states. Steer wrestler Dakota Eldridge stands at fourth at $287,798. Eldridge qualified twice for the college finals while at BMCC. R. C. Landingham is ninth in bareback riding with $217,190. He was the College National Finals bareback riding champion in 2009.
