HAINES โ (Release from the Baker City Police Department) On Wednesday, October 29th, 2025, Detectives with the Baker City Police Department executed a search warrant at 1020 Cole Street in Haines, Oregon. The warrant was executed after a lengthy narcotics investigation conducted by Baker City Police detectives. In executing the warrant Baker City Police were assisted by the High Desert Drug Task Force (Ontario area), Nyssa Police Department K-9 โAnnieโ and the Baker County Sheriffโs Office.
As a result of the investigation and search warrant, detectives located approximately four ounces of methamphetamine, five firearms, one of which was stolen out of Idaho several years ago and other items indicative of narcotics trafficking. The occupant of the home and subject of the investigation is CATHERINE JEAN BOYD, age 64. The investigation was a spin-off investigation from another case that Baker City Police Detectives had conducted earlier in the year. Investigations are still ongoing.
Baker City PD detectives will work with the Baker County District Attorneyโs Office to consider appropriate charges on this case.

This mission helps Baker City PD address violent crimes, as well as provide valuable intelligence and investigative resources to all law enforcement. Our detectives are part of the Baker County Major Crime Team, who partner with outside agencies and task forces to accomplish these missions.
