NACHES – Emergency repairs are underway on US 12 in Naches after the Naches River washed out over 300 feet of highway during record flooding on Dec. 11.
Crews from Apollo Construction are working seven days a week for the Washington State Department of Transportation to install a buttress, rebuild the embankment, and pave the road.
US 12 remains closed with a detour available, but construction is expected to finish by early next month.
