Myra Road South Extension opens in Walla Walla

WALLA WALLA — The Myra Road South Extension is officially open to traffic following a ribbon-cutting ceremony today (Thursday), city of Walla Walla officials announced.
Local, state, and regional agency representatives gathered to celebrate the completion of the new roadway, which connects State Route 125 to Taumarson Road. The extension creates a critical link between south Walla Walla and U.S. Route 12, unlocking access to more than 50 acres of commercially and residentially zoned land.
The $13 million infrastructure project was delivered through a collaborative partnership involving local jurisdictions, private developers, and the Washington State Department of Transportation to support future regional growth.
City officials expressed gratitude to key funding partners, including the Port of Walla Walla, the Transportation Improvement Board, and the Public Works Board through the Washington State Department of Commerce.
