Mt. Vernon seeking new city councilor

The City of Mt. Vernon is seeking a volunteer to fill a vacancy on the Mt. Vernon City Council. Applications are due by February 7, 2022 @ 4:00pm. The appointee will fill a term through Dec. 31, 2022. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, registered to vote, and have lived in Mt. Vernon for a year or more.

Applications are available at city hall from 7:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday.
