Mt. Vernon City Council to hold town hall on rate increases

MT. VERNON – The City of Mt. Vernon will be holding a town hall next Wednesday, according to information from the city. The intention of the meeting will be to inform the public regarding the Mt. Vernon City Council’s decisions on rate increases from $12 to $16 per year. This will be put into place this year and the coming years to address water infrastructure issues.
The Mt. Vernon City Council is interested in community input. The meeting will be held April 5th at the Community Center, located at 640 Ingle Street beginning at 6:30 p.m. For more information about the city, log on to their website at cityofmtvernonor.org.
