LA GRANDE – Mountaineers Track & Field is ready to go in 2022 for the indoor season. Eastern Oregon already has one meet under its belt as tune-up and will now focus on making the most of an indoor season that consists of three more regular season meets.
2021-22 Season Outlook
• This year’s indoor season is one that is longer than the year prior. The Mountaineers have four regular season meets on tap, with one already finished up.
• The remaining three meets for EOU are going to be strong, with two being at NCAA Division I institutes and the third being held at one of the newest indoor track & field facilities in the country in The Podium in Spokane, Wash.
• Eastern does boast an experienced squad for both the men and women, setting up the potential to qualify multiple athletes for Indoor Nationals and earn possible All-America status.
• Although the 2022 outdoor schedule has not been finalized, expect for EOU to once again compete in some high level meets throughout the country.
EOU will be back in action on Jan. 22 when they head to Moscow, Idaho for the Lauren McCluskey Memorial Open hosted by University of Idaho.
