Mountaineer Men Finish Season Ranked in NAIA Top-20

LA GRANDE – The NAIA has released the postseason Men’s Wrestling Coaches’ Top-20 Poll and Eastern Oregon University made the final list.

The Mountaineers men finish the 2020-21 season ranked No. 18 after finishing 18th at the National Championships earlier this month. A big help in the top-20 finish at nationals were the All-American performances of Keegan Mulhill and Noel Orozco. Mulhill was sixth at 174 pounds with a 5-3 record, while Orozco placed seventh at 285 pounds with a final record of 4-2.

Despite a short season of competition on the mats, EOU spent the majority of the season ranked in the top-20. Heading into the National Championships, the Mountaineers were receiving votes. As a team, they scored 24 points at the national stage to earn the top-20 finish overall.
