Motorhome destroyed but no injuries in Wednesday evening fire

HERMISTON – Several agencies were involved in fighting a brush fire near Umatilla River Road in Hermiston on Wednesday evening.

Umatilla County Fire District No. 1 says it was dispatched at approximately 5:14 p.m. and was able to quickly stop forward progression. One motorhome was destroyed but no injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation.

Umatilla Rural Fire Protection District, Echo Fire Department and the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office also responded.
