Harney County-Yesterday, May 10, 2023 around 2pm Oregon State Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on HWY 395 approximately 11 miles out of Burns.
A truck pulling a trailer loaded with transformers was heading southbound when the driver, David Prock, 42, of Saint Augustine Florida, fell asleep while negotiating a curve. The vehicle subsequently traveled off the southbound shoulder and into a creek. Upon impact, a passenger, Thomas Letbetter, 30 of Fayetteville North Carolina, was asleep in the sleeper and traveled through the cab and struck the windshield, sustaining no-life threatening injuries.

Prock was issued a citation for failing to drive within the lane. ODOT, Burns Fire Department and the Harney County Sheriff’s Office assisted on the scene.
