Morrow County Sheriff’s Office announces passing of K-9 Telly

HEPPNER — The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office announced the death of K-9 Telly on Tuesday following recent medical complications.

The police dog joined the agency in July 2019, serving alongside her partner and handler, Senior Deputy Colleen Neubert. Throughout her eight years of service, Telly assisted in protecting local deputies, area law enforcement agencies, and the communities of Morrow County.

The working duo recently reached a major career milestone, recording their 75th successful suspect capture. Sheriff’s office officials praised the K-9 for her courageous service, unwavering determination, and extraordinary bond with Neubert.

“She will be profoundly missed, but her legacy and sacrifice will forever remain a part of the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office,” the department said in a statement honoring her final end of watch.
