Morrow County is planning for the fair

HEPPNER – Organizers are hard at work getting ready for the 2021 Morrow County Fair and Rodeo. As with most events last year, the 2020 version was canceled due to COVID-19.

“That’s big news,” County Counsel Justin Nelson said. “We love our Morrow County Fair and Rodeo.”

Nelson conceded that what can be scheduled can also be canceled.

“There’s always a fear that we can plan for it, get everyone set up, but will it get shut down again,” he wondered. “That’s always a fear you have to watch out for.”

The fair and rodeo will run Aug. 16-21. Appropriately, this year’s theme is Morrow County Strong.
