Morgan Lake Opens April 22. Trout stocking schedule for opening week

LA GRANDE – For anglers, campers, hikers and any other warm-weather recreationists, La Grande’s Morgan Lake will officially reopen for the season on April 22, 2024. Currently, the lake is scheduled to be stocked with 500 legal trout during the week of April 22-26. The lake will be further stocked with 1,750 legal trout during the week of May 27-31.
A few reminders before the lake officially opens:
- No motorized craft is allowed on the lake.
- Before proceeding to a campsite, campers are asked to stop at the registration kiosk and complete a registration form.
- Campfires are only allowed in designated fire rings and are subject to seasonal fire restrictions during the summer months.
