More convenience at Morgan Lake

LA GRANDE – The La Grande Parks and Rec has received grants from the State Marine Board and Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife to fund a new vault toilet to be installed at Morgan Lake. The new installation will be on the Southside near the entrance to the lake. With more people utilizing the area, Stu Spence, Parks, and Rec Director said this would make it more convenient and the installation is planned for spring of 2022, just in time for the opening of Morgan Lake.

Several improvements in the past have been done, such as picnic tables, fire rings, signage, extra parking area, boat launch space, life jacket loaner station, and more.
