MONUMENT – Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley was on KJDY’s Coffee Time, and informed listeners that the Monument area has plans for building a new fire station that could house multiple emergency response agencies:
“They’re looking at building a new fire station in the Monument area on a grant and want to partner with our agency, along with the hospital, for ambulance location and for an office for our staff when they’re up there in the northern part of the county. And that would be a great partnering to be able to have an office in Monument!”
The Sheriff said they’re currently seeking grant funding, and he’d keep our newsroom updated as further developments come in.
