JOHN DAY – Moderna was approved for a 3rd booster dose in eligible groups and populations, and they’re now being offered at the Grant County Health Department. Specific dates and times are set up for different groups. Find the details in the release from the Grant County Health Department below:

Greetings Grant County residents:
As many of you know, Moderna was approved for a 3rd booster for eligible groups/populations. If you are in an eligible group, please come anytime during the indicated time. DO NOT COME EARLY. The fairgrounds has limited parking. Also – WE HAVE ENOUGH booster doses for all. There is no need to hurry. When entering the fairgrounds parking and building, please be friendly to your fellow Grant County residents. No appointment or prior scheduling is needed.
Where: Grant County Fairgrounds
What to bring: Oregon driver’s license or state issued ID card, insurance card (if you have insurance) and your vaccination card.

Monday, November 1 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Individuals 80 years of age and older
Tuesday, November 2 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Individuals ages 75-79
Tuesday, November 2 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Individuals ages 70-74
Wednesday, November 3 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Individuals ages 65-69
Wednesday, November 3 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Individuals aged 60 and older with underlying medical conditions
Friday, November 5 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Individuals in High Risk settings*
Individuals aged 55 – 59 with underlying medical conditions
Friday, November 5 10:30 – 12:00 p.m. Individuals in High Risk settings*
Individuals aged 50 – 54 with underlying medical conditions
Please come on your designated date and time. If you can’t come on the date and time indicated, we will be scheduling additional clinics in the following weeks. We have determined the amount of time needed based upon the number in the age groups who were previously vaccinated and will not be able to accommodate more individuals during the time slots.
*High risk settings include:
First responders (e.g., healthcare workers, firefighters, police, congregate care staff)
Education staff (e.g., teachers, support staff, daycare workers)
Food and agriculture workers
Manufacturing workers
Corrections workers
U.S. Postal Service workers
Public transit workers
Grocery store workers
Pfizer has not yet been approved in Oregon for youth ages 5-11. We will send out a press release with this information when approved.
