ELGIN – (Release from Miss Rodeo Oregon Inc.) The Miss Rodeo Oregon Inc. Foundation is thrilled to announce the selection of The Elgin Stampede as the Host Rodeo of the Miss Rodeo Oregon Pageant! The Elgin Stampede, a community-centered rodeo located in Elgin, Oregon, known for its rich rodeo traditions and welcoming atmosphere, is set to provide an exceptional setting for this prestigious event. Marking the pageant’s highly anticipated return to Eastern Oregon for the first time in over 40 years, the event promises to bring together the traditions of rodeo and the unique culture of Eastern Oregon, creating an extraordinary experience for contestants and spectators alike. 

Taylor Skramstad, Pageant Director for MROIF, expressed her excitement about the partnership, saying, “The Elgin Stampede embodies everything we look for in a pageant host: a passionate rodeo community, excellent local facilities in the Grande Ronde Valley, impressive Board of Directors, and a commitment to supporting the contestants and their families. Elgin’s hospitality and enthusiasm made it the perfect choice for our upcoming competition. I cannot wait to work alongside their incredible team to create a memorable and meaningful experience for everyone involved.” 

Kyle Evans, President of the Elgin Stampede, shared his pride in being selected, saying, “The Elgin Stampede is excited to be chosen as the host rodeo for the Miss Rodeo Oregon Pageant for 2025. On behalf of our dedicated and hardworking board of directors, we are honored to welcome the Miss Rodeo Oregon Pageant to Elgin. Our team is excited to collaborate with MROIF to support these remarkable contestants and celebrate the sport of rodeo.” 

The pageant is scheduled to take place during the Elgin Stampede’s annual rodeo in July 2025, where the Miss Rodeo Oregon, Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon and Junior Miss Rodeo Oregon for 2026 will be selected. The Miss Rodeo Oregon Sweetheart Pageant will also take place. The partnership with the Elgin Stampede ensures all contestants participate in the parade and experience the rodeo arena, creating lasting memories that celebrate the spirit of rodeo.
