Milton-Freewater picks up felony charges after attempting to elude police

MILTON-FREEWATER โ€“ A Milton-Freewater man was charged with multiple offenses after attempting to elude Milton-Freewater Police Department (MFPD) officers Tuesday.

At around 2:51 p.m. MFPD officers attempted a traffic stop on a 2014 Kawasaki motorcycle for reckless driving. Andrew Quinn LeFore, 55, failed to yield and during the pursuit was noticed dropping items out of a bag. LeFore was eventually stopped and taken to a hospital to be medically evaluated before being transported to Umatilla County Jail.

36 grams of methamphetamine were later recovered.

LeFore is currently being held on a $10,000 bond on charges of felony methamphetamine possession, felony attempt to elude/flee and misdemeanor reckless driving. He has previous felony controlled substance convictions in Umatilla County.
