Milton-Freewater man arrested on sexual assault charges

MILTON-FREEWATER – Milton-Freewater police (MFPD) have arrested a 42-year-old Milton-Freewater man on charges of felony first-degree sexual abuse and first-degree kidnapping.

MFPD said they received a report of possible sex abuse on June 11, and the juvenile victim was later interviewed at the Pendleton Guardian Care Center. Detectives were able to identify the suspect as Oswaldo Camacho Corona. He was arrested by MFPD detectives on an active warrant on another case.

He was interviewed before being transported to the Umatilla County jail. As of Friday afternoon, he was still listed in the Umatilla County jail roster on one charge each of felony first-degree sexual abuse (attempted), felony first-degree sexual abuse (assault with object), felony first-degree unlawful sexual penetration, first degree kidnapping, misdemeanor harassment, and multiple charges of failure to appear. His bail was listed at $45,000.
