MILTON-FREEWATER – The Milton-Freewater City Council will hold a work session tonight (Tuesday) at 6 p.m. in the Albee Room of the Milton-Freewater Public Library. According to the agenda, the council will discuss a graffiti ordinance.

City Manager Chad Morris said this is the first step in reviewing the city’s codes for modernization. Morris adds he’s using Hermistonโ€™s and Irrigon’s codes as a reference.

While Milton-Freewater has seen an uptick in graffiti, four arrests related to graffiti have been made recently. Morris reminds residents that the no final decisions will be made at the work session as again, “this is a starting point for discussion”.

The meeting is open to the public. To join the meeting via conference phone, call 541-938-8251
