MILTON-FREEWATER – Construction continues to progress on the new police station and dispatch center building in Milton-Freewater.
The city has not set a firm date as to when the police department will be moved in, but the hope is towards the end of May.
There are still many tasks to be completed, plus a myriad of inspections the building must pass.
While the bid for the building was $8.24 million, several design changes were made that have saved the citizens over $500,000, according to city officials.
