Methamphetamine Discovered During Baker County Traffic Stop

BAKER COUNTY – (Information from the Oregon State Police) Michael R Gardner of Baker City was arrested by the Oregon State Police during a traffic stop on Highway 86 near Milepost 10, East Bound, last Thursday. The OSP provided the following description of events:
“On 5/4/2023 at approximately 8:38PM a vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. Upon contacting the driver, a firearm was in plain view next to the driver. The driver is listed as a convicted felon. The driver was taken into custody and was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine. The driver was arrested and transported to the Baker County Jail.”As of the time of release, Gardner has only been charged with Possession of Firearm by Felon.
