WALLOWA COUNTY – The Wallowa Valley Health Care Foundation has announced that Men’s Guild has raised $13,800 this year for mobile ultrasound technology.   According to a foundation official, “this means Wallowa Memorial Hospital will be able to outfit all ambulances with state of the art mobile ultrasound units, allowing our emergency medical technicians to get critical diagnostic information in the field and start appropriate care right away. They can also communicate that information to our emergency room physicians so they can be even more prepared when trauma patients arrive. The extra funding also allows for a test unit for training and practice.”
