Memorial Day Office Closure for Malheur National Forest

JOHN DAY, PRAIRIE CITY AND HINES (Released by the U.S. Forest Service)-All Malheur National Forest offices will be closed Monday, May 27, 2024, in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday.  Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.

This Memorial Day, we salute and honor the service members who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation.

We anticipate a busy Memorial Day weekend here on the Malheur National Forest! Most campgrounds are open and accessible, while a few remain closed. Sites are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. It’s best to arrive early to secure a site.
