Measurement of stream flow in Wallowa County

ENTERPRISE, OR – Measurement of stream flow is now underway at several sites around Wallowa County as the Community Solution Inc.  Micro Hydro Power Outreach and Scoping Project hit its stride.  During summer/fall of 2020, CSI is creating an expanded inventory of potential micro hydro projects which could be tied to the existing electric grid and lower landowner power costs.  At this very moment they seek to connect with landowners who have streams, ditches, canals, springs or piped water moving over their property.

Measurement of stream flow is now underway at several sites around Wallowa County as the Community Solution Inc (CSI) Micro Hydro Power Outreach and Scoping Project hit its stride.  “We are finding some terrific sites and believe there are many more locations that have potential. We just need to find them,” according to Matt King, CSI Energy Program Manager.

During summer/fall of 2020, CSI is creating an expanded inventory of potential micro hydro projects which could be tied to the existing electric grid and lower landowner power costs.  At this very moment they seek to connect with landowners who have streams, ditches, canals, springs or piped water moving over their property. “Call us or complete our google questionnaire while the weather is still good,” said King.  So if you or someone you know could take advantage of this opportunity makes sure to reach out to them soon – winter will be upon us before you know it.
