MORROW COUNTY – The Morrow County School District’s (MCSD) Design Advisory Committee (DAC) has completed its meetings with community members, students, and school staff from Boardman, Irrigon, Heppner, and Lexington to shape the vision for the major projects approved by the voters.
The major projects include replacing Irrigon Junior/Senior High School, performing a major renovation of Riverside Junior/Senior High School, and renovating Heppner Junior/Senior High School to create a K-12 campus. The process has been facilitated by SĀJ Architecture and the project management partner, the Wenaha Group.
Next on the schedule is SĀJ Architecture will compile feedback from the advisory committee. That will end with the creation of a final report to the district in April with plans to share the updates with the communities in May.
Each project now moves forward on its own schedule. Irrigon Junior/Senior High School will move directly into schematic design over the next seven months. The Riverside and Heppner projects will pause briefly and then enter the schematic design process later this year.
