McKrola pleads guilty to rape, sodomy, sex abuse and more

CANYON CITY – A man has pleaded guilty in Grant County Circuit Court to multiple charges including sodomy, rape, sex abuse and more. According to a release today from Grant County District Attorney Jim Carpenter, Brogan Charles McKrola pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including Sodomy in the Third Degree; Attempted Sodomy in the First Degree; Sex Abuse in the Second Degree; Rape in the Third Degree; and Sex Abuse in the Third Degree. McKrola is scheduled to be sentenced on July 31st of this year. Find the DA’s press release below:

On June 27, 2023, Brogan Charles McKrola (24) entered guilty pleas pursuant to a negotiated resolution in the above referenced cases to the following crimes:

Sodomy in the Third Degree;

Attempted Sodomy in the First Degree;

Sex Abuse in the Second Degree;

Rape in the Third Degree; and

Sex Abuse in the Third Degree.

Sentencing is scheduled for July 31, 2023.

This case was prosecuted by Toby Tingleaf, Senior Assistant Attorney General for the Oregon Department of Justice, and Riccola Voigt, Chief Deputy District Attorney for Grant County at the request of Jim Carpenter, Grant County District Attorney.

The District Attorney’s office will forgo further comment on this matter pending sentencing.
