WASHINGTON, D.C. – Pendleton Mayor McKennon McDonald is in Washington for the National League of Cities Congressional City Conference next week. She’s hitting the ground running. Before the conference begins, she will meet with Oregon’s lawmakers.

“I have the opportunity to meet with each of the members of our delegation, both senators and congressman, to be able to share the needs of our community and to let them know just a little bit more about Pendleton,” she said.

Once the conference begins, local leaders can engage on policy, learn from experts, and make connections. They will hear from federal agency experts and other professionals on the impact of federal policy on local governments and network with federal agencies to leverage programs and funding.

McDonald is a member of the board of directors for the League of Oregon Cities.
