WALLA WALLA – A local developer has filed a proposal to transform 355 acres of land into a massive mixed-use complex featuring hundreds of homes, a hotel, and a new commercial district.

The application, submitted by MC Gateway LLC, outlines a significant expansion for the city’s eastern edge. If approved, the project would include 670 detached single-family homes, a 150-room hotel, and 80,000 square feet of commercial and restaurant space.

The subject property is located north of 1081 Mill Creek Road and west of Harbert Road, situated adjacent to Highway 12.

In addition to the residential and business structures, the developer’s plan incorporates public parks and dedicated open spaces, an integrated trail system, plus associated site infrastructure and improvements.

The city has not yet scheduled a date for the required public hearing on the proposal. However, officials are now accepting feedback from the community.
