Man who stole from Grant County evacuees sentenced to more jail

CANYON CITY – A man will spend time in jail for violating his probation, according to Grant County Circuit Court documents. Storm Losee Mensch was convicted earlier this year on multiple charges in both Union and Grant counties. Some may remember Mensch being arrested following the break-ins of multiple homes and businesses in Level 3 evacuation status during wildfire season.
Documents show that following the violation of his probation, Mensch was sentenced to 20 months in jail, along with 36 months on Post-Prison Supervision. The sentencing runs concurrently with charges from Union County.
