JOHN DAY – A man who was caught on camera stealing cans from a scout troop’s fundraiser trailer is on the run, according to Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley. Early in the morning on December 16th, a security camera in a John Day bank’s parking lot captured video of a man loading several bags of cans from the trailer into an SUV.

During investigation of the incident, the cans were found and returned to the scouts, but the subject remains at large. Sheriff McKinley said the individual has been identified as Terry Connor, and is in trouble not only in Grant County:

“That individual is on the run. [He] actually has federal warrants now, because [he was] being sought after federally, so, if anybody happens to see him let us know. We’re pretty sure he is out of the area. It’s Terry Connor. He’s on federal supervision, and he has absconded from that as well.”

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Terry Connor to call (541) 575-1131.
