LA GRANDE – (Information provided by the La Grande Police Department) La Grande Police Officers attempted to arrest Taylor Morris (29) of La Grande for theft from a previous investigation late last week. When officers approached Morris, he ran, fleeing from officers on Second Street. Even when Morris was told he was under arrest, he continued to run, running through people’s yards and jumping a fence. Officers announced to Morris that if he didn’t stop he would be tasered. Morris told officers he was not going to stop and started to run away after jumping the fence. One of the officers then tasered Morris. Morris then gave up without further incident. Morris complained of collar bone pain after he fell jumping the fence he was transported to Grande Ronde Hospital where he was cited for Theft II, Interfering with a Police Officer, and Trespassing. More charges will be forthcoming.
