Man shot while breaking into residence

WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Police Department said Skylar Glasby, 34, of Dayton was shot Thursday while trying to break into a residence on the 500 block of North Roosevelt Street. Glasby then drove himself to Providence St. Mary Medical Center for medical treatment.

Shortly after 8:30 p.m., WWPD received a report of a disturbance on North Roosevelt Street. While officers were enroute, the hospital called to advise a gunshot victim had just arrived at the emergency room. When officers arrived at the hospital’s emergency room, Glasby was being treated by hospital staff.

Glasby’s vehicle was located a few hundred feet away from the hospital entrance. The vehicle was found in physical contact with another structure.

WWPD said Glasby is a suspect at this time. The investigation is still active and on-going.
