HERMISTON – The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested a female Tuesday afternoon in connection to a shooting early Monday morning that took place on Golda Road in Hermiston.
As a result of the investigation, Brandy Maglaughlin, 42, of Hermiston was arrested and lodged into the Umatilla County Jail on charges of second-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
Deputies responded to the residence just after 5 a.m. Monday after UCSO received a 911 call reporting a man had been shot.
When deputies and detectives arrived, two people were contacted in the home, a 42-year-old woman and a 54-year-old man. The man was conscious but had sustained an apparent gunshot wound to the head. He was airlifted to a hospital.
Currently, the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office believes this is an isolated domestic incident and said this remains an ongoing investigation. There is no information to suggest any danger to the public.
