Man sentenced to Grant County Jail for theft

CANYON CITY – A man will spend time in jail and pay restitution for theft, according to Grant County Circuit Court documents. Erik Ivan Mountain, 47, pleaded guilty to 2 counts of Theft in the 2^nd Degree, committed in December of 2024. Mountain was also found to be in violation of his probation.

Mountain was sentenced to a total of 20 days in jail, placed on Bench Probation for 18 months, and ordered to pay $400 in restitution. The guilty plea was entered on June 11^th.
