TROY – (Information in its entirety from Joseph Fire Department) On 4/23/22 at approximately 1130pm Enterprise Ambulance was dispatched for a male in his 60s that fell down a steep embankment along the Grande Rhonde River in Troy, OR.
Joseph Fire was requested for our Rope Rescue Capabilities, responding with R- 4 and E-7 with 6 personnel. Enterprise Fire and Wallowa County Search and Rescue also Responded to the scene Providing manpower and equipment for the operation. The patient was hoisted from his precarious position on the rivers edge and transfered to a waiting Lifeflight Helicopter and flown to a trauma center, with significant injuries.
A huge Thank you to all responding Agencies. Enterprise Fire, Wallowa County SAR, lifeflight and and Enterprise Ambulance. Each and everyone played a vital role in the rescue. Thanks to county Dispatch for getting resources rolling. Job well done!
