Man jailed on theft and mischief charges

CANYON CITY – A man was recently sentenced to jail on theft and other charges in Grant County Circuit Court. Jeffrey Carl Cook, 25, pleaded guilty to Theft in the First Degree and two separate counts of Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree.
Cook was sentenced to a total of 10 days in jail, placed on Supervised Probation for 24 months and ordered to pay over $3,095 in restitution and fines. Three counts were disposed with no conviction.
