Man jailed in Baker County on multiple Idaho warrants

HUNTINGTON — An Idaho man is in jail on multiple warrants after providing false information to police in Baker County. According to information from Oregon State Police, on July 2nd, an OSP Trooper conducted a traffic stop nearBenson Creek Road and Malheur Line Road out of Huntington. The driver provided a false name, and was later identified as Joseph Richard McCaslin, 54, of Payette, Idaho. The subject was found to have multiple valid arrest warrants out of Idaho. Following a consented search of the vehicle, methamphetamine was discovered and seized.

McCaslin was arrested on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Giving False Information to Police, and a bench warrant for Failure to Appear.
