BAKER CITY — Preliminary details have been released regarding a man arrested for theft, burglary, and drug-related charges early Tuesday morning in Baker City.
At approximately 12:30 a.m. on March 24, 2026, Baker City Police and Oregon State Police personnel responded to a business on the east side of Baker City, on Campbell Street, for the report of a commercial security alarm. An OSP Trooper contacted a male subject exiting the building, who was immediately detained.
Stephen Spencer Grossman, 35, of Kimberly, ID, was arrested and taken into custody on charges of Burglary II, Theft III and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. In addition to the meth, Grossman was found to be in possession of a switchblade knife, which was placed by officers into safekeeping.
Grossman was lodged at the Baker County Jail.
