KENNEWICK – A homicide investigation is underway after a man died from an apparent gunshot wound Monday night. Officers from the Kennewick Police Department located the victim after when they responded at 10:40 p.m. to reports of shots fired at an apartment on the 1300 block of West Tenth Avenue.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries. The victim’s name will be released later as next of kin notifications are being made.
Detained as part of the investigation was Jawan Osby, 27, of Fircrest. He was interviewed by KPD detectives and has been booked into the Benton County Jail on suspicion of second-degree manslaughter.
