Man convicted on trespassing charge in Grant County

CANYON CITY – A man will spend time in jail and pay a fine on a trespassing charge, according to recent Grant County Circuit Court documents. Christopher Stirling Banford, 30, pleaded guilty to one count of Criminal Trespass in the First Degree, committed on or around November 14, 2024.

Banford was sentenced to 120 hours in jail and ordered to pay a $500 fine. One count was disposed with no conviction. The guilty plea was entered on March 17, 2025.
