WALLA WALLA – Dale Lewis Carlisle, 69, of Walla Walla was sentenced Tuesday in Walla Walla County Superior Court to just over six months in prison for first-degree rape of a child and second-degree child molestation.
Walla Walla County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Michelle M. Mulhern said Carlisle did receive credit for the six months he spent in jail awaiting sentencing but must comply with a strict regimen of treatment for which he must pay. His treatment term is for the following three years.
Mulhern said if Carlisle violates any of his probation conditions, he will be brought back before the court, and the state and Department of Corrections will recommend the suspended sentence be revoked.
“My understanding is DOC doesn’t give much, if any, good time credit for these types of offenses,” Mulhern added.
Carlisle pleaded guilty in April after being accused of engaging in sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 12 between March 2013 and March 2019.
According to court documents, the victim said the abuse always took place in Carlisle’s bedroom and that sometimes Carlisle would show pornography on his phone or take pictures on his phone. The victim admitted taking the phone and deleting the photos later.
Carlisle had no prior criminal history.
