WALLA WALLA – A man was arrested Wednesday morning after officers contacted him for sleeping in the doorway to the Walla Walla Police Department. Matthew Pedersen, 58, refused to move so officers could open the door and violently started kicking the front entry doors shortly after 8 a.m.
He was placed under arrest for obstructing a law enforcement officer, according to Walla Walla Police Department Sgt. Gunner Fulmer.
Minimal damage was done to the police station’s front doors. No injuries were reported.
Pederson was booked through the Walla Walla County Corrections Department and released.
